I feel Vday always has a stir of mixed emotions. From the bitter angst of people who are alone to the feeling of walking on sunshine from people who are madly in love. Some say it is a made up holiday while others religiously believe in this day. This day brings an array of emotions to various people. While it may bring memories of a past love or create a new memory of a present one, there is always significance in this day whether you choose to acknowledge it or not. For me, i’ve always been single. I know if I choose to be bitter about being alone and continually bring up how much I hate the holiday, I know I will soon be a hypocrite once I do find someone to share this day with. 

To everyone who is alone, acknowledge that love exists and be happy for the people who have found it. Hopefully by now you know that love exists in other forms. Use this day to embrace what love means to you and share the love with the people who truly mean the most. (and of course you have a reason to devour tons of chocolate)

To everyone who has a significant other, acknowledge your loved one…but don’t make everyone want to barf up their breakfast.

But anyways, i’m glad two of my best friends birthday land on Valentines. It gives me more of a reason to disregard the holiday and celebrate my friends birthdays. :)
